NORTH FORK
ABOVE FOG AND BELOW SNOW
AS WE ALL WELL KNOW.
STATE CENTER IS VERY NEAR
OF THAT WE ARE VERY CLEAR.
BUT SOMETHING SEEN BUT SELDOM SPOKE
IS THE MEETING OF PINE AND OAK.
ELEGANT PINE AND SWARTHY OAK
COME TOGETHER IN THIS PLACE
SEEN SOMETIMES IN FOND EMBRACE.

It's been years since I've heard a poem come out of you Jack. Nice to know you still have the rhyme and the reason. I know of another pine and oak couple that live nearby. Perhaps I will share that with our readers someday soon.
Your poetry is so moving and heartfelt. I always enjoy reading poetry involving nature, especially trees.
